My "low" cal diet

No, I am not a dietitian and no I have not seen one. I just did a little reading about the food groups and what is recommended by various groups for a "healthy" lifestyle.

My caloric intake has been cut to 1000-1200 calories per day. I am eating more frequent small meals. My breakfast is special K cereal. Lunch is a Lean Cuisine and a cup of Dannons Lite and Fit yougart (only 60 calories for a cup of yougart with Dannons Lite and Fit. . . not bad). Dinner is 1/3 cup of Vegetarian ground beef (cooked) with raw tomatoes and cucumbers. . . as many tomatoes and cucumbers as it takes to fill me up. Snacks throughout the day are grapefruit, yougart, or cereal bar. I drink H20, no pop. I workout an hour in the morning on the elliptical machine. I am trying to make sure to get my food groups in (real meat usually comes from lean cuisine, frutis and vegetables as snacks and a part of dinner, dairy=yougart and fat free milk in morning, grains with cereal).

If I am still hungry, I just grab a piece of fruit or chop up a cucumber or add a cup of yougart and that usually takes care of it.

We'll see how I do!
